For decades, UFC has used the PPV model to broadcast all its major events, but no more. The new seven-year spanning $7.7B deal lights up a new chapter for fight fans. The yearly 13 main card and 30 Fight Nights will happen on Paramount+. The subscription would also entail some marquee bouts simulcast on CBS.
This astounding ten-figure Paramount deal that runs till 2032 is a welcome change, as fans won’t have to pay a steep $79.99 for the set product. PPV prelim pecking orders, and even Fight Nights had measly setups to warrant such a price tag. Now, the question arises: how much does it cost to be a UFC fan in greener pastures?

How much does it cost to be a UFC fan on Paramount+

- Ad-tier packages start at $7.99 with limited subscription content from CBS and Showtime networks
- Ad-tier packages will have breakages and intervals amid all major programming
- Non-ad-tier packages are slated at $12.99 with 4K programming
Paramount+ is made available through all major streaming channels, including Apple TV, Roku, and Amazon, among others. It can also be accessed through an online browser subscription. So there’s an unlimited option to see full UFC content libraries and live events of fan-favorite greats.
Along with UFC, the usual features will also remain, including NFL on CBS, NCAA basketball (including March Madness), and soccer (including the UEFA Champions League).
Stateside, Paramount subscriptions usually go from $7.99 per month for ad-supported tiers to $12.99 per month for ad-free plans that include Showtime. How much would a UFC subscription cost and how would it run? The ad-supported tier (marked $7.99 per month) at $59.99 per year has select Showtime programs running, and ads are prominent during all TV series, films, and other programs.
So perhaps, what were the PPV prelims all these years will have skimmed intros and less corner cam time to go. The in-built cold opens and media packages when one fight ends and another begins could also be a tad short now.
The ad-free runs $12.99 per month or an annual subscription at $119.99 and allows for no hicks, 4K quality streaming, CBS, and other programming. So it basically describes itself.
*Note – Nothing is completely ad-free, especially live events. Paramount+’s broadcasts of NFL games include commercial breaks, and the same is true for UFC broadcasts.
What else could run?

UFC CEO Dana White has said Paramount didn’t inherit all the load of it. Power Slap and Contender Series are major ones that are still up for grabs. UFC and TKO have previously telecast FIGHTPASS grind on Rogers Sportsnet and ESPN Latam (BZ). On the flipside, Callum Walsh’s boxing mayhem is something they’ve put up on FIGHTPASS.
There’s UFC Fight Night Live. There’s also Shooto Brazil. and Cage Warrior FC. And Fusion Fighting Championship. There are also Fight Pass Invitational grappling events, Dana White’s Contender Series (DWCS), and upcoming UFC Fight Pass Invitational BJJ contracts, along with the very new UFC BJJ are prospective stuff.
UFC’s new deal with Paramount+ doesn’t mean the death of traditional Pay-per-view either. White told New York Post Sports that 1/1 spectacular events may still find themselves on a PPV telecast. The White House PPV concept is in the pipeline. White has said they’d surely stick to it and maybe even have it on the CBS network. If not, a one-time PPV payment (Pay-per-view, ESPN/ESPN+) is justified for such grandeur.
