Siddharth Singh – Leading India’s Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Journey with AJP Tour 2025

India is quickly becoming a rising name in the world of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu (BJJ), thanks to the efforts of Siddharth Singh, a passionate athlete, coach, and organiser. On June 21, 2025, Siddharth successfully hosted the second edition of the Abu Dhabi Jiu-Jitsu Pro (AJP) Tour India in Noida, Uttar Pradesh.
The AJP Tour is one of the biggest professional Jiu-Jitsu tournaments in the world, held across different countries. With Siddharth securing the exclusive rights to organise the Indian leg, the event opened doors for Indian athletes to compete, win medals, and earn world-ranking points right from their home country.

This year’s tournament welcomed around 200 Indian athletes, along with international fighters from Europe, Africa, and East Asia. It was a proud moment for Siddharth as his academy, Crosstrain Fight Club, earned the top ranking among all academies in the event.

India’s Turn on the World Jiu-Jitsu Map

The AJP Tour is not just about medals’s a pathway to international recognition. The competition gives athletes a chance to earn points based on their performance, which directly contributes to their world ranking. For many athletes, this means they no longer have to travel abroad to gain ranking points. India has become a part of the global circuit, bringing opportunities closer to home. Organising an international event isn’t easy.

Siddharth recalled the difficulties of hosting last year’s tournament at the Indira Gandhi Stadium in Delhi. Though it was a large venue, it brought many unexpected problems like infrastructure limitations and planning issues. This year, Siddharth made a different choice. He shifted the tournament to a privately managed, fully air-conditioned venue in Noida, which included clean bathrooms, budget-friendly restaurants, and an overall athlete-friendly environment.“That was the most inspiring part. Fighters from small cities performed with great technique. That shows how much India is growing in Jiu-Jitsu,” Siddharth said. That was the most inspiring part.
